Promoting equality  

The world came together for International Women’s Day (IWD) on March 8 to celebrate women’s achievements and reinforce a commitment to women’s equality. This year, the ŠÊ˜·³Ç Women’s Network (SWN) at Sage organized a week-long office event to celebrate with the entire Cary site.

A week of celebration

Throughout the week, employees were encouraged to take potos with pledge cards aimed to #InspireInclusion, wear purple and donate to organizations that support the effort to inspire inclusion.   

Inspiring inclusion and appreciating contributions all month  

Officially recognized by the United Nations in 1977, International Women’s Day is commemorated in different ways and to varying degrees in places around the world. The theme for this year is Inspire Inclusion and the aim of the campaign is to collectively forge a more inclusive world for women. Not only is International Women’s Day in March, but the whole month is also Women’s History Month. Women’s History Month is a celebration of women’s contributions to history, culture and society. It’s been observed annually in the month of March by the United States since 1987.
